Tremolo Defined

(2) A type of amplitude variation, occasionally found in instrumental performance. commonly found in instrumental and vocal performance, that adds warmth or emotional intensity to a given sound. Tremolos can be described as fast or slow, shallow or sharp. See also amplitude modulation and shimmer. Compare jitter, and vibrato."
